4 Costume Ideas that the Party will Love!

If you are looking for a good Halloween costume idea, look no further than your local movie theater or your favorite television show. There are some tried and true Halloween costume choices that never go out of style, as well as some hot trends that will be really big for 2009.

1. Michael Jackson costumes. The King of Pop's sudden and untimely passing caught the world unsuspecting and really tore a hole in many people's hearts. To honor his memory and to make a statement about your own favorite era, wear a costume from that period in the singer's life. From the sweet and innocent, baby faced star of the Jackson Five to the eccentric, pajama pants wearing Jacko of his later days, there is some part of the superstar's life that probably touched your own, in some way.

2. Super heroes and heroines. No Halloween would be complete without one or two Superman's, Batman's, Spiderman's or some of the more eclectic super hero, like from the iconic Watchmen movie. Summer's huge hits, the Transformers and GI Joe offer up some good guy costume choices as well.

3. Bad Guys. Damn, but it is fun to be bad, especially for Halloween. Sometimes the bad guys get the best costume choices, don't they? Go with classic baddies like the Joker or Lex Luther or look at the new bad guys like Storm Shadow from GI Joe. A bad guy all in white, that will throw them for a loop down at the office.

4. The Classic Costumes. Vampires are always a safe bet, costume wise. All you need are dressy clothes, a great cape, teeth and nearly flawless manners. If you can fake an accent and keep the teeth in your mouth, A+ for you then, Count Chocula, but remember, Dracula never lost one of his fangs while flirting with a sexy nurse.

Finally, remember no matter what you are planning to wear, you should make sure that you are actually going to be able to enjoy your party or activity in the costume. Do not wear something that you cannot sit, stand comfortably or breathe deeply in, unless there is serious money involved in the judging.
